How to check the KRZ yourself

The KRZ is public and free: krz.ms.gov.pl → "Wyszukiwarka podmiotów". Search by NIP, KRS, PESEL or name. You see bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings since December 2021, discontinued enforcement and unpaid maintenance. Older bankruptcies (before 2021) are only in MSiG, and liquidations in section 6 of KRS. The register has no public API, so checking many counterparties by hand takes time — we obtain KRZ data and MSiG notices from a commercial provider.

How to check

Three registers on solvency.

  1. KRZ — since 2021

    Bankruptcy, restructuring, discontinued enforcement — proceedings opened from 1 December 2021.

  2. MSiG — notices since 2001

    The Court and Commercial Gazette: bankruptcy and restructuring notices, also from before the KRZ.

  3. KRS section 6

    Liquidation, compulsory administration, dissolution — in the KRS extract.

What you will not see

The KRZ is not a BIG debtor register.

The KRZ shows court proceedings, not ordinary unpaid invoices.
